Which Busse Combat, or kin, knife has the best handles for you? Mags? G10? Micarta? I guess I should ask for no one off custom handles.

Thanks,

Fusion Magnum Micarta - of all that I have handled that is. I waffle on about it in this thread around post 12: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=469362&highlight=magnums

The handle on my ASH-1 (LE and Hog) are a close second, only because they are not quite as versatile in my hand.

I would like to try the Res-c handles as on the Basic series though - I imagine they would be great for prolonged or cold-weather chopping.

My old SHBA feels like part of my hand when holding it.

I dig the SF handle in magnum canvas, however I'm really feeling the handle on my new ABA. Everyone knows that, though, which is why the BAIII's and SJ's are so desirable.

Although I love the FSH handle over all others, Res C has it beat in full comfort.

I am also a Res-C fan when it comes to comfort, my Dogfather and DFLE are incredibley comfortable to chop with and Now that I have my SOD LE I'll have to compare it to my SFNO and Ash for comfort.

Hmmm... I've never quite got to 'grips' with my BAIII's handle, I find it just a little too narrow, top-to-bottom that is. Not that I could part with it. The SHBA looks good but, in my dreams, as they say.

G-10 or Micarta period!!! My hands wrap around Res-C and they are uncomfortable. If the hilts were longer, might not be so bad. The pommel bulb digs into my hands as they are. I still have a SRKW Battle Rat and a couple of dogs with the -C, and they are just for beating.

Sar5, hands down. But I think that I may be the only one that likes those handles as they came from the factory. Jerry said that they were ugly and felt like framing hammers. I just wish Jerry would use a framing hammer for handle inspiration more often :D.

So far, the Busse custom shop SFNO handles, the fat hand-shaped ones with stabilized wood and G-10.

Many work well for me, especially in the Fusion line, but currently I am surprised at how good the 3B2 (Military overrun ASH-1 variant) feels in the hand with its grips.

The Busse Old School Satin Jack, the Busse ST Ripper handle, and the older handles on the smaller Swamp Rats (Rat Hunter, SAR Rat, and Desert Jack) are the most comfy from the factory handles I have felt.

As for the material, doesn't matter to me. I like Wood and Micarta over G-10, but each have their merits and faults... The Res-C handles were OK, but I never really warmed up to them as much.
