Which Busse would you send a loved one off to war with?

If I had a close relative who was going to be part of a fighting unit, I would definately, absolutely, send them off with one of my Busses......
Which one, though.......
Probably a Hell Razor, since it is not a drop point. I'm know I really shouldn't be worried about a knife fight, but you never know, I'd want to be sure I send them off with a capable fighter with good pentration ability! The Barf might be good choice too, or a Zero Tolerance Satin Jack.

I was just thinking about this exact topic a few weeks ago. My best friend in the Marines told me he may be going to Iraq soon. If he goes, my Hell Razor will definitely go with him!
And my new sheath as soon as Leatherman gets to makin it! :D

How about an Argonne Assault, assuming you actually had one???
Nope...........
(I actually have one.... no.... two... no.... maybe..... Nah,.... can't talk about THAT one!. :p )
IMO.... unless you have big hands it's a little uncomfortable, also a big negative in my book is that it might take a couple secs to get your fingers in the holes when you might need it the most! With a Barf, however, it doesn't matter if you get your finger in the hole or not in an emergency situation.

For an aircrewman, the obvious choice is the NARK. Duh! Anyone else can make do with the Force 1.

I'd send any of them. My wife's cousin is a cobra pilot for the Marines and he is getting deployed, after he goes from active duty to reserves, and I was thinking of sending him with an original ARK. He said he loses his knives though, so maybe not. :)

Damn near any Busse/SR under 6 1/2 to 7 inches. Infantry/SO guys a HR/MR or SJ would be excellent. Otherwise SJ or Active Duty/HD. Coated is better usually.

For a grunt a bigger knife suitable for Digging/cutting/breaking open crates.

For an Officer, a smaller knife that could be worn without raising as many eyebrows.

Depends a lot on the MOS as well.

I know a 25 year old Staff sargent with a small boatload of Busse knives just got back from Iraq a few months ago that left all his Busse knives state side while he was there.

He is currently looking at taking his 2nd tour of Korea, likes the food better there I guess, I would be more comfortable with him doing Iraq again.

I have a couple AK's on order with his name on them, he will get to see them in a few months.

He buys/pays for his own Busse knives by the way, I just order them and some times hold on to them awhile, I am proud of him.

Having been there I would recommend a HH or HR for ground troops and for officers...maybe something from Frost .....they only pull staples from cover sheets on their TPS reports.
