Which came first - slotted or smooth?

Are we talking handle attachment screws or Super Pleasurevibe 2000s?

I've got one of the earlier INFI straight SHIIs, and the handle screws are slotted.

FTR, my 1000 series SPV is smooth.
 
Smooth came first, then slotted. The transition took place around the time of the switch from A2 to INFI. Most INFI blades have slotted screws, most A2 have smooth. There are, however, exceptions. There are a very small number of INFI blades with smooth fasteners (like the BMLE that Skunky has-atleast I think they're smooth).
