I ccw on my right side. Was thinking about a horizontal/crossdraw sheath on my left side, but some others have said the knife is probably a bit too big for this. I am no expert when it comes to carrying knives as I have always just carried a pocket knife. I am looking for something to carry while hiking and working around the farm. Any suggestions would be helpful. I am looking into having one of the board vendors make it for me. -Thanks

A good friend of mine carries his in a rig like the one below, it seems to fit his needs well, and its able to go from canted cross draw to vertical as the loop is large enough to allow some room for movement.

This one is a classic pancake and one of my favorite modes of carry, I have one of these for my Natural Outlaw. It fits nice and tight to the body. No flop.

IMO, the '6 is just too long to carry horizontaly, even SOB, unless you are a massive (not in a good way) dude. It's just too much handle and blade and will stick out too far. I'd worry about ripping the attachment off after catching the handle or blade on something.

Carried vertically, high on the belt with a Teklok in the top slots on the stock sheath, the '6 can be comfortable and can even conceal under a hoodie or winter coat. For good access with a coat, the drop leg is the way to go. The factory ESEE MOLLE sheath works well for this, I've used aftermarket kydex drop legs and they were a bit too rigid and don't 'hang' properly for me.

After messing around with different carry styles for a '6 or similar while working and hiking, I now just attach them to the outside of my backpack.

Guess I should have mentioned it is illegal here to carry a knife concealed. Another reason I wanted it oriented more to the front. I think something like Leatherman posted will work well for me.
