Which Casio G-Shock do you have/recommend?

I have always wanted a Casio G-Shock watch and now with all the great comments about how durable and how accurate they are, I was wondering which watch everyone has and/or recommends?

I went to the G-Shock site and found many, many watches to choose from. Can anyone help recommend models, options and reasons why one G-Shock is better than another. Also, any recommendations on sites to purchase from would also be helpful.

Thanks all,

Bucky

Depends what features you want and which look you prefer. Personally, I find a built-in thermometer useful, so I got a G-Shock Thermometer in black/red.

I wear a Citizen Titanium World Timer Eco-Drive to work (amazingly accurate timekeeping), and my G-Shock around the house. I already scratched the Citizen's glass, so I feel better smacking around the G-Shock. Be warned though -- the G-Shock is HUGE. It's difficult to wear with long sleeves.

I've got the basic 5600 model, the kind NASA uses I think. -Also have one of the larger models (6900 series) they're both great. The best featues for me are the alarm, stopwatch and countdown timers.

Bucky,

I have 3 Casio watches. All are G-Shocks. I'm not going to suggest one model over another, 'cause that choice is yours, and yours alone.

You might want to go to www.miamiwatch.com and look around. Their prices are GREAT, and shipping is free.

I have a DW-6900 that I picked out for Christmas this year. It does seem a bit large at first, but after you wear it a while you don't even notice, and soon other watches start to seem very small to you. I am very happy with my choice. I was thinking about getting the Riseman, but decided against it because of price, size, ease of operation, and after thinking about how often I would really use the features. Which is not to say that I won't get it some time in the future, just that I need a "plain" watch more at this point in time. An interesting note on this subject is to watch Mission Impossible 2. Tom Cruise wears a G-Shock through most of the movie.
