Tanto is great for a lot of rough work, the abrupt angle that Cold Steel does is very useful for things like scraping. Plus the tanto will be hardest to break off the tip.
Personally I chose the spear point when I got mine. The belly on the blade lends itself to a wider variety of tasks in (most) people's lives I think, certainly in mine. Plus it has the added benefit that it will be slightly stronger than the clip point and you could have an easier time cutting along something from the inside without risking damage from the clip point.
For example, if I have a tightly packed package that I needed to open, I tend to flip the blade edge up and open it that way, letting the curved spine of the spear point run along the inside where it won't catch on things. The same can be said for skinning an animal (if you ever needed too) or for cutting clothing off of someone in an emergency first aid scenario.
The recon 1 is that kind of knife, in my mind.
