Hi All,

The pivot one of my XMs has been coming loose so I decided I had better Loctite it. From searching, I've come across recommendations for a few different colors, so I wanted to check here to see what color Loctite most of you guys use on your Xm pivots. Thanks in advance!

If you have to use it - blue. But it's probably not necessary honestly and will potentially be a real PIA when you want to clean it/change scales, etc....

I have been using teflon tape in these applications since teflon was a miracle invention. Provided I wrapped it in the right direction, has never failed.
The thing with loktite is, people use too much. Use a very sparing amount (I have put a little blue on and had no problems) very little.
as the saying goes, "Less is More" as in better. Hell, "Clear" finger nail polish works too.

Or you could have consulted the XM Generation stickied at the top of the forum:

Use of Loctite:

Hinderer Knives only recommends Blue Loctite on the pivot screw (sparingly). Don’t use loctite on any of the other screws (i.e., the standoff screws, the pocket clip screws, the LBS screw). If you don’t want to use the Blue Loctite, I recommend Vibra-Tite VC-3 on the pivot screw.

Blue will work but purple is better.
Loctite 222
This non-wicking formula is recommended for fasteners from up to 1/4" and cures in 10 minutes with full strength in 24 hours. This threadlocker is low strength and requires only handtools to remove once applied.

Blue is ideal for 1/4" to 3/4"
