I am going to pick up a fixed blade in the 4" - 4.5" Fixed Blade. I am down to the Bark River Bravo 1 in CPM3V or the Fehrman Peacemaker.

I already have a Fehrman Last Chance and it is everything I have expected, I have no experience with Bark River but I am interested in the Bravo 1,

Looking for feedback

Had the peacemaker...sold it...grieved! Handle worked great for me (I wear L-XL glove for reference). Held very good edge, tough, good sheath from factory. Good balance, wish it did not have a choil. Choil makes the cutting length 3.5" instead of 4" Never owned a Bravo 1.
Good luck with your choice

Both knives I like, but are different. Have you considered a Koster 5 inch Bushmaster ( about .220 inch thick and rc 60), the Koster Bushcraft 4 inch, ( .140 inch thick, scandi grind zero bevel also at RC 60) ? These are very well built knives and are a great value.

Any of your choices are pretty nice, and along with these Kosters are can't miss. Just pick out the ones that best suit your needs because you will have to look pretty hard to find fault in any.

The Kosters are V grind ( bushmaster) , scandi grind ( Bushcraft), while the Bark river is Convex. The Ferhman is V ground too IIRC.

The EDC 4 and the 5 are on the long term want list, and the 10 may follow it once I knock some of the larger purchases off. Interested to see how CPM3V handles-everything I read makes me very excited.

I just ordered a "Practical Field Knife" from Justin King with a 4.25" blade. I CAN'T WAIT! : )

Hahaha! My name has leaked out of my own threads. lol. Sweet. If you are still looking for a knife in about a month and a half, I'll have an entire line of production stuff available for sale. The EDC-4, EDC-5, revised GSO-5, GSO-10 chopper, and the SURVIVE! Neck Knife. I'm trying to get these all nailed down and out in people's hands by very early spring. Or check out my other thread to see about locking in a spot for a SURVIVE! prototype knife. They'll be finished up next week and will be going to Kiah to have sheaths made for them. They are an absolute steal for a nice sized CPM-3V knife. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ries-of-Knives-by-SURVIVE!-Photos-and-Videos!
