Which CRK as an EDC?

I've been eyeing CRK knives for a ling time, but I never picked one because I want to make sure I like what I'm getting for the money. What model of CRK would you fine folks recommend for an EDC?

It all depends on your application. Do you work in an office environment? If so, I would suggest something smaller and more people friendly. I carry a small unique graphic Sebenza to the office, but a Mnandi would also be a good choice. If you work outdoors, I would suggest getting either a micarta Sebenza or maybe even an Umnmzaan.

This question is sort of like asking, "Which Ford should I buy to drive to work?" It's too personal with not enough information provided :). No CRK is inherently bad. Knowing your preferences and how you use your knives would help frame the discussion.

Okay. I prefer somewhat smaller blades, I work in a jewelery workshop, and I tend to use my knives to open boxes, cut straps, open plastic packaging, and sometimes open envelopes. I need something that can perform delicate work, but still be fully capable of handling occasional stress. Nothing too major, but sometimes I need to cut ropes, trim wooden dowels, and the like. I was considering a small Insingo, but I thought I should consult here first.

I love my small 21 for edc, its perfect for me. It offers good amount of cutting edge for the size of the knife.

I think the small Insingo would work nicely. Alternatively, I'd suggest a small Sebenza 21 as well. I like the standard blade over the Wharncliffe for delicate work. My small seb EDC is in cocobolo -- tough stuff, moisture and abrasion resistant, and looks classy (except when it's dirty, like in the photo :o ).

For your needs I toss my hat in for a small Sebenza. Go wood inlay for a little dress up on a tough knife:thumbup:

Small micarta Sebenza Insingo...Im absolutely positive that's what you need in your pocket.
Regular 21 is still cool...just not so much ;)

All are great, but get a small Insingo. I work in an office and I'm not shy about using it in front of non "knife people."

As large as possible, as small as necessary; --> small Sebenza.
I'd also opt for a nice wood inlay, makes it look more sophisticated.
Let us know how you decide.

Small CF. Been rocking mine for almost a year now, my full Ti hasn't seen the outside world in some time. I use it everywhere...everyday. CF is holding up just fine. Feels just as strong as the Ti version, but lighter weight (the difference is noticeable).

Mnandi. I just got one in the mail a couple of days ago and it satisfies 95% of the cutting tasks I need to accomplish. If I need a knife for heavier use cutting, I use a para2. The mnandi is so small I can bring both and its not a problem.

You know, the small Sebenza gives you about as much cutting surface as a Paramilitary 2. So don't let the small size fool you.

Have to agree with Powernoodle, you get just about the same amount of edge as a Paramilitary 2 in a much smaller package. Personally I prefer the small Regular Sebenza, but they are getting hard to find. The small 21 is just about as awesome.

best edc? the one YOU like BEST

I edc a small 21, a small Insingo, a small 21 micarta, a mnandi
each has it's prefered EDC occasion, Work, Office, Free Time...but carry and use them indifferently
