Which CRK products do you carry, and when?

Greetings all,

I decided to start this thread after I realized today that I have not carried anything except CRK products for the past few months. In fact, I've gradually whittled off my other knives with the exception of a few that have special significance to me (presents from my wife and from friends).

For a while, I was carrying the Mnandi in a Mission Wallet to work every day, and the small Sebenza while at home. However, I took possession of a large Classic from a friend, and have since relegated the small Sebenza to my bag. This is kind of surprising, as I have long considered the small Sebenza to be my absolute favorite. So now it's the Box Elder Mnandi during the day and the large Classic in the evenings/weekends.

That Mnandi sure gets the "ooohs" and "aaahs" whenever I show it, regardless of the audience's proclivity to knives in general!

Anybody else settled on just one or two CRK products for EDC?

~Matthew

Yep, Matthew ... i'm now the same.

I carry a Large Regular at home and a Large Classic at work. In my trouser/jacket pocket is always a Mnandi. I went fishing yesterday for example and carried my Ubejane - I know it's intented primarily as a skinner but I use it outside to cut twigs for use as rod rests at the river and to shave tinder, etc.

I still carry a little James Barber slipjoint as sentimental value, however ... but it's never used now.

So all cutting is now CRK, too

I've been carrying the small micarta Sebbie as EDC in weekends. (Strider PT during workd days) - I haven't used my large Sebbie much lateley. If feels huuuuge comparing to the PT & small Sebbie

I used to strictly carry Spydies for my EDCs, however, all that changed once receiving my first CRK--a Large Regular Sebenza. Now, no other knife has seen more everyday carry time than this perfect combination of steel and titanium.

I do believe that I have found my 'Excalibur' in this CRK....:D

ok, I'll play...

Sebenza (large) - everywhere, everytime (except when flying). Just my true EDC. If not in the pocket, than for sure in my bag or on my belt.

Mnandi - when I need something with a touch of class

Umfaan - as a small handy backup, always around (since I have it of course)

Scout (one off customized model ;) ) - any outdoor activity

MK.VI - used to be my "adventure blade". I've decided to give other knives a try... but I plan a big "come back" in the summer. MK.VI rocks!

Project II - I plan it to be my next "serious hardcore outdoor blade"... time will tell. So far I like it, well, of course! Anyway, what's not to like about P II? :D

that's more or less my CRK set of users. I used to have some more, but these are considered my "working knives".

EDITED... I just realised you've asked about "products", not only knives! So on top of that I carry as my EDC also CRK Wallet. VERY VERY handy. I hate to carry big, thick wallet in my jeans. Today two CC's and couple of notes can do the trick, no need to go for bulky stuff in my pocket.

I'm with Piter, I tend to carry nothing but CR products. Folders. I even switch throughout the day if I'm at home depending on what I'm wearing and what needs to be cut. My favorite is my small classic with stainless Damascus/ivory. But lately it's been my newer large tanto Seb. On those special occations I'll carry my mammoth ivory Mnandi. That's a good one to have in your p.j. pocket Christmas morning. ;)

I have been carrying a small classic everyday for the past few weeks, in my pocket, and it has handled everything coming and going. Real handy knife to carry. I have stopped carrying my other knives, heck, why not carry the best!:p

Large Classic Micarta inlaid in a pouch daily!

I carry a large Bacote classic 99 % of the time now.

When I'm in the "outdoors",it's a large regular Sebenza.
When I overnight in the outdoors,I'll add something a little more "fixed",like my Shadow III.
When I'm indoors or on social occasions I have (since recently, thanks Matthew!) a beautifull box elder Mnandi!!!
So now,all I really "need" is a small classic Sebenza, maybe an Umfaan (just for the fun, because I don't rate them so high as a lot of other forummembers here!!!),and an Ubejane and a Mark IV and a...........

yep.....,Mr. Reeves makes some sweet knives!

I NEED an Mnandi, a small Sebbie, Umfaan, Dog Paws, Night Song Sebbies. And then there are the CRK fixed blades that I NEED.........

most of the time and on rare occasions(paties, knife shows,etc..)my small NICA tanto or my small classic ebony wood with gold inlay!

Just saw that this had been resurrected back from the depths, and things have changed somewhat for me. As Raoul mentioned, my Box Elder Mnandi is no longer with me. In its place is the Strider PT when I'm in slacks (office EDC). After hours, I rotate between a Strider SnG and the large Classic Sebenza.

I have a small regular Sebenza, but I want to trade that for a small classic so that I can rotate that with the Strider PT :)

Matthew

Hey Matthew.....,I read your Strider came back great, didn't it?
I really want to get a small classic too......,and I really need a Strider folder!!!

well......,we'll just have to wait and see......

I am not just trying to be different, however, for the past 6 mos. or so I have been carrying either a Green Beret 5.5 in their after market leather pouch but I am now carrying a Neal Roberts and a Fallkniven F1GM. I checked with the local LEO's and where I live there is no restriction on carrying a fixed blade knife....so that's what I like to carry. Oh, yeah, in my right pants pocket I also have an Aftermath from Camillus.

Ciao to all and happy Christmas
