I am shoping for a under $30 knife to make a gift. It must be a fixed blade necker. I brought the choice down to CRKT Neck Peck or CRKT MDP Stiff Kiss, there are no other knives fitting the requirement that I can find until tommorow (no online shopping due to the time limit). Now I really don't know which one to choose, any feedback about these two knives would be apreciated. Thanks!

I like my peck quite a bit. When I first got it I couldn't really get it to cut anything and there didn't seem to be much edge on the knife, so I reprofiled it to a 30 degree edge with my Spyderco 204 sharpmaker and now it cuts nicely. I used the included paracord to wrap the handle to give a more secure grip since I didn't plan to wear it around my neck anyway. My only problem with it is the crappy zytel sheath. After a little bit of use the sheath loosens a bit and the knife can rattle around inside the sheath.

I would check out the CRKT Carson F4. This is one of those knives that you don't even know you're wearing until you need it. And, it has an MSRP of $24.99.

Get them a Woo for the same price and they will think you paid twice as much. I dig mine.

I didn't like the Carson F4: way too thick.
I have two Neck Pecks and love them. I also wrapped the handles. It doesn't add much thickness.

Another option should be the Bear Claw: by far my favorite knife from CRKT!
