Which CS throwing hawk?

Hi!
I'm interested in purchasing a Cold Steel tomahawk. I was wondering which be best for throwing. Also, do any of you have experience with the tomahawk Langette set? I don't know if they would be worth it or if they would be a dissadvantage when throwing. Many thanks!
 
both my rifleman and trail hawks throw well it has more to do with learning to use whatever

i do hear tho that a lot like the norse hawk for throwing

as far as the langettes ive never used them but you are just as well off ordering another handle or two
 
If your sole purpose is throwing, I'd also suggest a norse hawk. Simply for the fact that b/c of the upsweep it will stick even if you overrotate your throw.

More sticks and less bounce-offs mean a longer handle life.

I also agree that you should save your money for spare handles and resist those langetes.

A last bit of advice, remove the set screw completely from the head and improve the handle/head fit with careful sanding. The set screw will only screw up your handle (pun intended:p).

I love narrow headed hawks so my fav is the trailhawk but like Ookami says the upswept blade will stick more often till you get your rotation and distance happening. Whatever you get, you'll love throwing it. Have fun.

If you go and check out the people in mountain areas who host events where they are dressed in period clothing like the old days, and they include tomahawk throwing (including where you can throw, too)... the hawks they typically use are generic to the Frontier Hawk...

The Frontier hawk is THE throwing hawk... you can throw most any hawk, but the Frontier Hawk throws the best in my experience...
 
Can't see the sense of throwing away a perfectly good weapon, you might miss the bugger and give him a weapon to use on you.
 
Me, too... I prefer the VTAC for 'fighting' if a hawk must be chosen...

I prefer the Cold Steel Frontier Hawk for throwing at a target for fun...
