Which damascus?

I have decided to get a damascus blade for one of my wood inlays. Both are small left hands. One is a light colored curly maple and the other is a redwood burl which is darker. Which do you guys think that the damascus would look better on? Which pattern is in you opinion the nicest? I just got off the phone with Julie and she said that the waiting time would be about a year. This knife will be a user so the colored damascus, while being beatiful, is not an option. Thanks!
 
I'm about 4 or 5 months into the wait for a DT Raindrop blade for my Umfaan. I like Raindrop and Spirograph the best, but that is a personal opinion. I'd have to see the woods next to the patterns to give my opinion on the other question...

I talked to Chris at the Solvang show and he said that Devin Thomas was coming up with a Damascus with his logo in it. Might be cool.

I really do like the Spirograph pattern, but a CR Logo pattern would add a certain something, all right :)
