Which Delica 4 to get for general EDC?

Hello there,

I am considering getting some kind of Spyderco Delica 4 as new primary pocket knife. I am looking at the three following options:

Delica 4 PE Black FRN: a tried and tested knife, cannot go wrong with this one
Delica 4 CE Black FRN: I know most people do not like CE, but I thought it may come in handy for general EDC
Delica 4 CE White FRN: same as above, plus it looks very beautiful and perhaps less intimidating than black

There is a knife shop nearby that has all three for exactly the same price. I found this a bit odd though, since the white version is supposedly a limited edition. Currently, I like the white one best, mostly because of its unique look. What are your opinions on this matter? Is there a place for CE for general EDC? Is it a bad idea to choose the white one as EDC knife, since I read that it is more of a collector's item? Unfortunately, I can only afford one knife at the moment.

I look forward to your opinions.

Of the bunch I have it is the orange ffg frn one that I carry most just now :)

If it were me, I would get the white and set it aside. I would also get the PE black as an edc. The white will most likely get pretty dirty after daily use. I think PE for daily carry is better since you will be sharpening it often. I have several CE knives and almost all of them get little use.

I would get the black CE. I had a D4 Plain edge for about 6 years then had it Tom Krein regrind to FFG. I sorta miss the thicker blade. The combo edge maybe less popular here but it is more practical.

I would go for the PE, but I would go for one of the colored frn handles if intimidation is a factor. I have a green ffg delica and it's one of my many favorite edc knives.

I can see getting the CE model. While PE seems more collectable, I've certainly found serrations to come in handy at times. For me, it doesn't really matter if it has black or white FRN scales. However, I definitely prefer the FFG versions over the other versions.
