Hey all,

After selling off my first Sebenza to buy a Glock I think its time to fill the hole that missing Sebenza left. :p

My question is should I buy another Large Sebenza or Umnumzaan ? From what I can tell they are similar in size but I just can't decide which one to get first. Help me decide!

If anyone is interested with parting with either a Large Sebenza or Umnumzaan feel free to let me know! :D

I have both large sebenzas and umnumzaan and have used both extensively. Both are very heavy duty folders, but I think the umnumzaan has an edge in that department, ( I should note that my large sebenzas are of the older "regular" profile as I like the blade profile of the "regular" over the pointy "21" style ). I really like the umnumzaan and ever since I got it, my sebenzas have seen much safe time as my umnumzaan gets used daily and when not in my pocket is on the coffee table ready for action when needed. There are no cons to either design as Chris makes the best knives in the industry and thoroughly tests them in every way prior to production. So it just comes down to personal preference. The sebenzas you can get with a clip point, tanto, insingo sheepfoot style blade as well as unique engraved versions. The umnumzaan comes in the clip/drop point style and a tanto, ( tanto and sheepsfoot are exclusives from different companies such as TNK and KnifeArt )..........I hope to someday get a tanto umnumzaan, I like the zaan that much.

I'm a sebenza fan.

Zaan is one sweet knife, but for my personal edc tasks the thinner blade on the Seb is preferred.

Worst comment, but most common, get both! :)

Agree - probably not what you want to hear - but get both.

I do switch off between my umnum and lg sebenza.

I prefer my Umnumzaan for a more "rugged" day. If I'm going on a hike, or to the beach, to NJ in jeans I'll pick my Umnumzaan.

My Sebenza's work better for the times I need more grip (inlays), a overall simpler looking knife (the Umnumzaan is constructed simpler), or a small version that's more pocket friendly.

I think you should always be in possesion of at least one large Sebenza.
Then you can move on to the Umnum, mnandi, small seb. But you really
cant go wrong either way. Its a win win.
