Which do you think makes a better edc?

This is my first experince with INFI steel. Only had my ARK for a few days and yet I am still eyeing the MS. I've been thinking about a plain edge. The serrations are very impressive but after using a Swamprat HR I've gotten use to just a plain edge.

I'm wondering the hogs opionon on ARK vs MS for edc as far as utlity?

I don't have an ARK but the Mean Street is an awesome everyday use utility blade.

Personally, I'd take the ARK because of the serrations. It seems like I'm always using serrations for something.

Nota Bene: My comments only address current production. I have no experience with the older models.

Without offending anyone, I must state that I have little to no use for serrations on a utility knife. That being said, in my opinion, the best _utility_ EDC Jerry makes is the AD. A close second would be the LrMrS. The slim blade just makes more sense to me in this role.

If, on the other hand, your intent is as a _self-defense_ EDC, the MrS or the NARK would be the hot ticket, although the NARK is getting up there in size. Besides, the NARK has the serrated band-breaker for when you really need rough cutting ability. I have an order with Dwayne for a couple of sheaths for these two. Once I get them, I'll let you know how they work out.

I think in a reverse grip, it's more than enough knife for SD, in a forward grip, you're probably right.

Agree!!

Must also add that, somehow my EDC is the Basic #3, as I really like its handle and balance.

Actually if you read the other posts you would know that my ISP service was down and I was using bosses/best friend computer. This is his computer that I can use as he lives down the street. I don't wish to sign out of his account, as I'm not sure he knows how to log back in.

I remember a thread back awhile in w & c where runs with sharptings was accused of being either vinny or weanis and angelus stuck up for him by saying that he knows that runs with sharp tings wasn't either of those guys because they were friends and lived a street apart.

so I figure they are different people. the whole not being able to log back in thing does seem pretty weird though.
