Which Emerson?

I'm considering getting an Emerson folder. I'm looking for something with a wave with a semi tactical look and feel.

The commander and cqc 13 both caught my eye. Can anyone with experience with both knives help shed some light? Which one would you choose and why?

get the mini cqc 15 its the best blade shape in my opinion. its and awesome design. feels awesome in hand!! or go for the big one if u want a monster!!

the comander is a good knife too but i like the handle of the cqc 15 better.

never handled a cqc 13

I really like the looks and ergo/feel of the 13.

What do you prefer about the blade shape?

Also does anyone have side by side comparison pictures?

I had a Micro Commander and liked it a lot but the CQC-7V has got to be my favorite Emerson thus far. Classic Emerson design with a V-grind and a more unique G10 color than your standard black- what more could you want? :D Mine was slightly gritty when I got it but I replaced the factory grease with Tuf-Glide and its buttery smooth now.

I vote for the CQC 8/ Horseman series. Very unique blade shape, and quite a pleasure to use. Easily my favorite of their line-up

Roadhouse. Or mini/super Roadhouse. If you are set on either 13 or Commander, the Commander has an awesome blade, but remember the recurve is going to be trickier to sharpen.

After fondling the whole lineup at a knife show, I ended up with just one Emerson, a CQC-10.

its just looks sweet!! its a commander blade shape and cqc 7 put together the best of both worlds re-curve belly tanto tip!

I recently bought a super commander after much debate. Not exactly what you'd call an ideal EDC folder, but absolutely love it. As a side note, the only way to go is the stonewash finish. The grinds and stonewash on Emerson blades are beautiful (if not requiring a tad more care).

Anyways, I'm now considering a mini commander for EDC.

I also like the CQC-10 best after handling most models in my local shop.

Quite a variety of opinions here. This is going to be a harder decision than i thought.

I currently have the Emerson combat karabit which I really like. I still prefer fit and finish of benchmades and spydercos but I really like the wave feature on the Emerson's. If I get a new Emerson it probably won't be an edc but more of a specialty knife for those occasions when I need something larger and more rugged. I currently edc the Karambit and a mini Ritter.

Keep the opinions coming I guess, because I'm slightly more confused now than when I originally posted.
