I want a cheaper flipper knife to just flick! I'm looking at the buck vantage, crkt ripple, kershaw oso sweet, or kershaw skyline? WHich of those is the best or is their something im missing? thanks

Yeah I'd go Skyline. The Cryo is also fun and a cool knife but I find the Skyline a hell of a lot more comfortable and useful at it's size, and it's just a unique design that is so comfortable and clean looking for a small knife. The main reason I'd choose it as a knife just to flip for fun is because it's not assisted. Assisted knives are fun, but it's just more fun or "gratifying" flipping a non assisted knife like the Skyline and actually feeling the smoothness and having to have a little technique. The Skyline is a bit hard to flip at first and it will have to break it. You'll also probably have to adjust it a little but there IS a sweet spot where it locks up as solid as anything and still flips like a charm. Love that knife. Need to get another orange one so I can use my current one more without feeling bad.

^Agreed with the above, it's more fun flipping a manual flipper (or so I have found).

Skyline all the way. The Buck is a great knife and all, but the flipper action is very sub par IMHO.

The Walmart Ripple is very fun to flip. I'm looking at buying my third. (sold the first two)

You can see how my vantage flips in the first minute.

I dunno, assuming you want a manual flipper, the Vantage (if you don't get into the black blade models, which suck at it) and the Skyline are both nifty. The Vantage is a heftier knife.

Of those you listed, I own the skyline and the Walmart ripple. If I were buying it to use and carry on a day to day basis, the skyline would be my choice, but just as a fun knife to flip and play with, I say ripple hands down. Hard to argue with a IKBS flipper for $30 (I actually got mine for $25)...

I have the Wal Mart Ripple. Incredibly smooth flipper for the price. Flips better than my JYD 2.2 did. If you could spring for the higher end Ripple with the IKBS system I would grab that over a Skyline any day.

None of those! :D
If you want a knife just to play around you should get one cheap. However the one I suggest is also a tank of a knife! So, for around 10$ or so you can get an enlan el-01 that is not only cheap and a joy to play with but also the highest value for the money knife I ever handled!
It really is that good and if you don't like it simply through it in a tool box and you'll have a very dependable and tough as nails folder to work with;)
I highly recommend the el-01!
