Which folder steel - D2 or Sleipner for light bushcraft ? DPX HEST

Hi, I'm considering purchase of DPx HEST 2.0 folder - I tend to put it under medium use - occasionally for bushcraft as well, if no fixed blade by hand (my Fallkniven S1). No batoning intended, only some feathersticks and classic woodwork (spikes etc)

Now, there's new version of DPx Hest 2.0 - Milspec, which uses Sleipner steel instead of D2. They say, it's less prone to chipping and should be a little harder and should have better edge retention ( they say, Sleipner is used for meat processing ) - any idea how it would hold against somethhing harder, like wood ? And maybe, opening cans/tins ? Saw video on youtube, D2 had chips after opening (I'm not planning to open cans, but one never know when there's no can opener by hand..)

Would you recommend classic D2 version or Sleipner ?

Id go sleipner simply coz of the stonewashed finish which I find more appealing than black coating.

The Hest Milspec has a new pivot, which is a b easier to adjust, and the knife, overall, is a bit better in F&F comapred to my first generation HEST. I'd go with whatever one you can afford, there's not a lt of difference in performance.
