Best fitting knife for my hand was the old version BM mini-reflex, great size,etc.. always wished Benchmade had made that as a fixed blade. Often puzzled why they need to go 'outside' the designs they have to make a FB. Any of you have folder you'd like to see made as Fixed?

Benchmade's AFCK and 921 (minus the slipjoint in this case)

Cold Steel's Vaquero Grande, El Hombre, and El Lobo

Fred Carter's Gigand

That's a great question! I really think some folders beg to made as a fixed blade.

One that I'd absolutely love to see made as a fixed blade would be the Rekat Sifu. I would pay some good money for something like that! If there are any custom makers out there reading this thread that would be willing to make me one, let me know!!! That would be one hell of a blade!

I'd also like to see a fixed blade version of the Sere 2K... yes I know about the Operator... I mean EXACTLY like the Sere 2K - same blade length, same materials (VG-10), and a nice kydex sheath. That would be nice!

A BM710 would make a nice fixed blade. I like the blade shape and the materials, and I DO trust the axis lock, but I just really like fixed blades of that size.

I'd also REALLY like to see a fixed blade version of the Emerson Commander. WOW! That would be cool.

My example of a Benchmade old style MiniReflex came to mind simply because it has such an excellent finger choil (for me, anyway) and nobody seems to give you a decent finger choil on a small folder these days. I just bought a Spydie Goddard Lightweight PE, excellent knife, with great finger protection, but the knife is too damm big for my puny hands! (anybody want it, email me) So here I am, trying to find a clone of the MiniReflex, and it got me thinking about all the great folders out there that could be made into great Fixed Blades. Let's hear some more....

I would like to see CRKT make a fixed M16-03 with 4,5 to 5" blade!!!
But much more i would cry for a M16-03 style folder that large!!!!!

I would like a Calypso Jr. (Spyderco) made into a neck knife. I would keep the trademark hole and use Micarta on the handle slaps.

As mentioned before; A Cold Steel Vaquero Grande...That would make an "interesting" fixed-blade knife.

I think it's already been done, but I would like for Emerson's CQC6 to be a fixed blade. I know it won't happen, but I hope it becomes a production folder also.

What about the Spyderco Native? It's choilicious in AUS-10 or S30V.

Thrombogan: I don't want to get hate mail, but..:) Native doesn't work for me. Hell, I want to like it! Maybe I'm handling it wrong, but it seems, every time I hold it, that either the seperation between the choil and the rest of the handle hits my hand in an uncomfortable way, or the choil itself ends right where the blade begins, w/o a seperation ....feels like my finger would just slide right onto the blade. Besides the BM, the best choil I've seen is in a photo of a Shane Sibert creation, his flash and his GL-120 Wharncliffe. They look awfully nice.

Native in S30V, agree with thombrogan. But, since there are two choils, it may be uncomfortable for some people, as diamdave said.

I have often thought that the Wegner design, first produced by Spyderco and now Blade-Tech, would make an excellent fxed blade. I know there has been a custom fixed blade version made, but would love to see a production version.

Spyderco Chinook, original blade configuaration, exact original length blade and grip, with fully sharppend false edge/clip point.

My vote would go to a 710 - style fixed blade, maybe with just a tad more belly than the folder.

DDR Madd Maxx w/ a slightly shorter handle. Darrel said he is thinking about doing this one. Question is, when?
