I'm confused. Or perhaps just missing the obvious.

I'm (obviosuly) a registered, non-paying member. I want to post a "Want to buy"
message in the appropriate forum. The "Wanted to buy" forum shows no post history for the last year.

I'm told I don't have appropriate permission to post in "For sale by individual".

So am I out of luck?

You said you wanted to buy, NOT Sell, only paying members, Gold and above can sell.

Yeah, it shows no post activity in the last year. I thought the forum was defunct.
 
Only paying members can see other people's WTB ads and sell to them. Registered Users can only see replies to your own WTB ad.

Go ahead and post; it's a thriving forum.
