Hello,

I'd like to do a thread showing the creation of a prototype. If all goes well, I plan on offering it through that online auction site as well as here. My design is a multi use knife (fixed) and I want to offer it in the buyers choice of steel. In my mind there would be a production model in 1095? with kydex and then there would be a more custom shop offering in the buyers choice of steel, coating and leather sheath.

I just want to make sure I start a thread in the right place and also find out what type membership I will need to offer these knives. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Dan,

If you want to sell knives you are making on this site, you would need a KnifeMaker / Craftsman / Service Provider membership. Here is a link to the membership subscription options page.

As to what forum to post a thread showcasing the build of your prototype, you're in the right forum already. :)

Thanks for the info. What if I'm not the maker but just the designer/retailer? Would knifemaker membership still apply?

Dan,

A Dealer membership would be the correct choice for the situation you described.
