I am looking to get a fully serrated Spyderco, but am not sure which I should get. I have the Para, Stretch, Caly 3, and Caly 3 Jr. and love those designs. I am also partial to ZDP-189. Any suggestions?

You can get a ZDP-189 Serrated Endura 4 for about $60 right now. That's about as cheap as any ZDP steel knife out there.

That would be my recommendation for the best bargain available at this time.

If you want something thats older and little different try the R1....vg-10...

see it in the disc. section of the spyderco website...get it at knivesplus...I

got one there...very aggerssive teeth.About $85.

I'll be getting a serrated Aqua Salt soon :D

Can't wait to try out Spyderco's serrations. I'm not really a fan of SEs, but I think it will do well in the backyard.

I have serrated blades on the old-style stainless Police, Delica, Para, Military, Endura FRN and some others. I am about to score a G10 Police SE, I think.

But if I were choosing a SE Spydie for another knife nut, I would probably pull the trigger on a Delica 4 SE. Its hard to argue against that one.

If Amaranth is right in post #2, the Endura ZDP might be a good way to go.

I think the Para SE is getting phased out, though don't quote me on that. I was able to get one online a few weeks ago for something like $95. So if you like that design and can find the Para SE, thats another good option.

So a serrated Delica or Endura is where I would go. Thats always a safe bet.

Complimentary Military SE pic, and a few others with sharp teeth:

A serrated Millie is one of the most acomplished folding knives ever! Besides that I also have and love a serrated Para, a Caly3, a Tasman Salt, a Dragonfly, and a Manix2 is inbound.

I would be leaning towards the Para, as the SE version has been discontinued. However no other knife comes even close to the SE Millie.

Where? You can e-mail me at joespyder@sbcglobal.net with the info if you like. ARE both the SE & PE just $60 each?

My biggest recommendation for a tank of a serrated Spyder would be the stainless handled Rescue model. I've heard that you can still get them through G-Sakai.

That Endura with ZDP would be a real dandy. I love fully Spyderedged Hawkbills for really aggressive cutting. The Harpy in VG-10 SE is a real beast of a blade for it's size.

Another extremely mean Spyderedge blade is the one on the big Dyad model.

I currently carry EDC a fully serrated Golden Co USA made Spyderco Native. It's a great all purpose knife. It has about 3/4 of an inch of plain edge on the tip which makes it the best of both worlds to a degree.

I have a serrated zdp-189 british racing green Delica and I love....I think the harder the steel the better for serrated knives because in my experience sharpening serrated blades is a pain in the a@@...just my opinion though...the delica is great thought the nested liners and volcano grip makes for a great handle as well.

Thanks for all the input folks. Not that I won't be getting some of the other recommendations somewhere down the road, but for now, I just picked up an Endura 4 SE. :D:thumbup: I'm looking forward to taking it for a spin or two!

I have been carrying a Police Model now for over twenty years. Not the same one unfortunately, but I do like them. Ihave a couple more old stock in my safe when the one I have is lost or wears out.
