Hi guys,

I bought this game warden off the local forum here in the UK, its a used knife but in a very nice condition, I thought you guys in the US will have a better idea on the model/year of production of this particular one. Its my first Busse hence the ignorance :( Wondering if someone could help!

Overall length: 7 inches
Blade: 4mm (approx) thick, 3 inches with a very dull silver..ish coating. Convex edge (probably done by the last owner?)
Handle: 4 inches with green micarta scales

Great score, they are a great knife.

I think it is Green Linen Warden: .140” Satin Green Linen Micarta 9/26/2006

It looks like one I used to have.

It's black canvas micarta (it looks greenish) with double-cut finish. From 2006.

Wow !
The .140 Green Linen Game Warden was by far the rarest of the GW's sold at the Busse Company Store.
There were only about 20 made, maybe slightly less.

I had one, and they have the best looking Green Linen I've seen. Has the yellowish streaks in it.
Busse hasn't had Green Linen like it in many years.

edit- just saw the post above. Is it Satin or DC ? Does it have yellowish streaks in the micarta?
If it is Satin, and has the yellow streaks it is the Green Linen.
The Black will have a DC finish, and will look black and have no yellowish streaks. The streaks look more white in the
Black Canvas.

I can't really tell from your pics, but Raining probably knows from the edge work and sheath.
And if the finish is dull and not satin it would be the Black Canvas that had a bead blasted finish(DC).

Hi guys!

Many thanks for such detailed info, I guess its the one that Raining mentioned, and Ken you are right its not satin but a dull bead blasted finish. Thanks again for your help guys!

I'm just wondering why my Svord peasant knife cuts better than this though :( both are shaving sharp but the Svord just glides through material.

Because the Svord has a much thinner blade. Any thinner blade will cut better than a thicker blade.
The Busse at .140 will be much tougher though and it will still slice pretty well.
