Title pretty much says it. When I first got into traditionals I didn't like clip points but now they really appeal to me. Of course, pictures and lengthy discussions are more than welcome.

The first one that comes to mind is their pattern #15, Boy's Knife. There are others but would need to check out the dealer pages first. Long pull narrows it down some.

Also....Pattern #99, Northfield Wall Street; #63 Northfield Mako; #65 Northfield Ben Hogan; #64 Northfield Swing Guard; #12 Northfield Toothpick; #28 Northfield French Kate; #48 Northfield Dog Leg Jack; Some of the #23 & #73's but they are Drop Points, not clips.

Also the #64 Babylon Hill and the various #42's that are lock backs.

This #721112 Mini-Hunter Lockback came to mind. The covers are Plumb Jigged Bone but come in many variations.

A lot of good references in the above posts.

Ed, everytime I see a 72 like yours I wish I was 6" taller and hand larger hands. :D
The 72 is one I wish I liked to carry.

You don't appear from your pictures to be of small stature. I'd think that the #72 could be carried by most anyone regardless of stature and hand size. Now liking to carry a knife of a certain pattern is another matter all together. I have several knives that I like but don't like to carry. You posted a picture of your #73 in another thread (I even asked about it) and seemed to like it quite a lot. That #73 is practically the same frame as the #72.

You know that is what I thought when I bought a 72 a couple of times. I kept telling myself there's not that much difference. Yet, everytime I opened the 72 I felt like I was carrying a knife to butcher an elephant. I really think if I was more in the outdoors (It's amazing how having kids change things) I would love the 72. Opening it at church, around town, or the given public just didn't fell right to me for my needs.

When the girls get older and I can get back in the outdoors more often I plan to try the 72 again.

Only 5'7 with shoes here. :D

Edit: Funny thing is I love the 81 Stockman at 4 4 1/4, when I had one, even around town. The pattern, like you mentioned, really does matter. I was able to use the smaller blades on the 81

You are probably being put off by the difference of the blade shape between the #72 and #73. Although not a big difference, the clip blade of the #72 appears to be much larger that the drop point blade of the #73.

Too me the #73 is a much more sleeker knife in appearance than the #72 but when push comes to shove, I have a difficult time in picking a favorite between the two.

Sorry to the OP if this particular post is a bit off topic.

The #64 and #65 come to mind. I've got one of each and they are exceptional. Elegant and uncommon patterns.

I hope to find one of those clip blade 77 Barlows someday. I became attracted to the clip blades just after that supply dried up...

48 is also offered in a single long pull clip but I don't think they made very many of them. Here's mine.
