I've been using a lansky diamond set to get my blades in S30V and S35VN razor sharp. I use the second lowest angle for the main bevel, and the next step up for the microbevel. To get it razor sharp again after a day of cutting (or 30 minutes of cutting cardboard...evil stuff) it doesn't take long, but the setup is what irks me the most. I want to make myself a "pocket strop" by gluing one of my leather belts to a piece of wood (I'm thinking a paint mixing stick? Nice and light) but can't think of what kind of glue to use. I was thinking wood glue, but I don't know if that bonds to leather very well. Any suggestions?
