is there a way to reverse it .. i like it as a die.... but it seams kinda heavy cut .. like mill a shiny skull area and then mill out the circle might look better.... but thats me....
 
The outer ring i would think should be raised black, instead of recessed further. So just two small circles cutout to show a black ring. I agree with somberbear, look like alot of metal, a heavy cut.

By the way, if you've seen a cali legal lower, you would understand why i only submit my comment as observation, and will not be sending one in for machining. :D
 
Hmmm. I initially suggested the third choice, sans circle...but now I cannot really decide.

I'll have to sleep on it.






As a side note, is everyone who is voting on this planning on getting one? I mean...I dont mean to sound like a dick, but if you are not getting one, perhaps hold off on the voting to see what the purchasers would like?

I might agree with you but hey, what looks good...just looks good. If you want a perfect selection process then by all means talk to jim and design the logo you want. We are going democratic here...that means: anyone that is able, can vote...not all who vote are involved or care about the process/outcome...some who don't vote will buy...and most of all...you have the choice to not take part.

I agree, I don't think i voted aty least i hope not in hindsight, at least my post pointed out my intent.

And not to be a dick, but i couldn't resist pointing out :D , that just because a large group of people do it, doesn't mean you have to do it if you don't like the design. just because you like them doesn't remove your choice in the matter.






(we may not know each other so i feel the need to say, I'm saying so in jest, in case it got a nerve which isn't the intent)

I would buy any of the designs. I think they all look fine.

It was just a simple suggestion, thats all. You are leading the charge. Thanks again for looking into doing this!
 
No worries sir. If any of the actual "purchasers" have a contribution to make as far as design goes then i am all ears. There is a distinct possibility that, if this goes well, we will do another run in the future for anyone that misses the boat this time. Having the same artwork at the engraver means that the price will stay the same, hopefully. Therefore, broader graphic appeal on the board = more gooder. :)
 
I voted for the graphic design, and I really don't care what it would go on.....
 
Not to muddy the water, how about One with the #3 graphic, but with a shield, like the ESEE patch at EM Gear?

If you can supply me with the Adobe illustrator line art i will happily throw it together this weekend. I was trying to finalize the artwork this weekend but if enough people want to see that then so be it.
