Which Green Beret?

I noticed there are two different pictures around the internet of the CRK Green Beret knife. One version has smaller serration "teeth", and the handles are smaller than the tang, leaving the tang sticking out slightly, and has greenish Micarta slabs. The other one I have seen has larger serration "teeth" and the handle leaves less of the tang sticking out and the Micarta seems to be grey.

Which one is the real thing?

PhoulPlae,
If you look at the CRK website (www.chrisreeve.com) the one pictured seems to be the one with less tang exposed and larger serrations. Hope that helps a little

I could be totally wrong but I think the difference in serrations is that they show up more from one side over the other. There were a few with reversed serations but were just a few out there. Very limited. As far as the exposed tang... I believe they all are the same but the picture taking varies quite a bit.

Don't forget about the 5 1/2" version that's going to be released at the Blade Show!!

I hope they don't mind me hotlinking their pictures. I'll remove them if requested.

PICTURE 1 (unserialized version?): Grey handles, less tang exposed, 6 scallops in the serration

PICTURE 2 (serialized version): OD handles, more tang exposed, smaller scallops with 8 total

The coating and the angle of the photo do make them look different, but I was fortunate enough to sell a sheath to a gentleman with a serialized GB. It is as identical in dimension as you could want and fit the sheath made from an un-serialized knife, perfectly.

Oku is that Argonne Assault Knife made by Busse, or did they just loan you the photo, I'd love to take a look at one of those someday.

P.S. I apologize for the drift.

Lagarto,

Busse did make the Argonne. Jerry was kind enough to loan that one to me specifically for the purpose of helping with my website. I asked if he had anything "eye catching".

The GB appears at least once on my site as well. (Nice save huh?)
