HEY HEY<

Im off on another project and need some advice, Im going to make a larger 5.5" blade survival/utility style camp knife which will be used for cooking -cutting branches and general tasks as such.
the stock will be 3/16 and im wondering if I should do a large hollow grind/saber grind or a flat grind?

I can see this knife used a bunch in the kitchen so Im lookin at flat ground but the knife would have more heft with the hollow/saber grind?

many thanks "John"

less heft with the hollow more with saber grind
the hollow grind will give you a finer more delicate edge
with some good back bone with the 3/16" steel
a saber grind is kind of like an axe grind.
a flat grind would be a happy in between for you I'd say:)
