This is a WWII kuk brought back from CBI.
This Kukri measures 16-1/2" long and 2" at the widest place on the blade. The backbone of the blade is 1/4" thick. The tang goes through the butt cap on the handle. I suspect the handle is water buffalo horn. It is still sturdy and ready for use. There is no rust, it could be cleaned up. Sheath has deteriorated, though.
I'd like to buy a new replacement for it and leave this one retired.
Which HI kuk is like it so I can have a modern user?
