I chose Spanto but honestly you want go wrong with any of them. Take a serious look at the Sheepsfoot. They are coming back out with them in the next few weeks and they are pretty amazing!

Out of those options I'd go for the spanto. You don't have to wait for it though, you can already get a gen 6 spanto.

Wait until you can find a non-flipper. I would go with a wharncliffe.

The sheepsfoot is nice, but my favourites are the Spanto and the Skinner

I like how the Skinner actually has a sort of “dao” blade shape like the Emerson cqc8

I would suggest the slicer one.
But if you are looking at sharper light EDC I raccomend the slipjoint because it's half thickness compared to xm and made by real supersteel cv20.
Just my 2cents.

All are great, and the Warnie is my favorite, but the Spanto is more useful as a first Hinderer.

The regular slicer and the spanto look exactly like the ZT 0562 and 0393, which makes since seeing as how they were designed by Hinderer. I’m not knocking Hinderer’s knives but are they that much better than the ZT’s and worth the extra $200? I voted Bowie because if I could justify spending that much $ that’s what I’d get.

I would suggest the wharncliffe too, as I find it one of the most appealing modern iterations of that blade-shape.

The bowie is a close second for me though and a non-flipper version would be irresistible.

Come on now. You ask us to pick for you but you don’t tell us the purpose you will use it for. Maybe you are actually asking what grind we like and not which one for you? Picking out of the blue,,,, I say slicer grind. Hinderer’s are to hard use able and the slicer keeps it slicier and durable.

+1 for what Whitty said. My favorite Hinderer is my MP1 and if I was buying another XM18, I'd definitely go for the Sheepsfoot. If not that, I'd wait for the Slicer to come out.

I like the 3.5 in a spanto and the 3 in a slicer. Although it doesn’t get more classic Hinderer than the spanto grind.

I’m looking to buy a Gen 6 XM-18 3.5” and can’t decide which one??

I have three earlier model Hinderer knives and they're all great.

If I was going to do it, I'd wait for the new Fatty Harpoon Tanto, 3.5 inch blade. I have one and would like one on bearings to see how that handles.
