After my wallet has done some post xmas healing I may grab another hatchet, which has caught my attention recently. I have been eyeballing the Hultafors 11/4 and 13/4 lb hatchets. Does anyone here have experience with these tools ? Any opinions are welcome. Thanks.

Never tried one, but those hatchets look good and I've also heard good things about them.

I woud get the 17 inch hultafors.

I'm loving my hb, I believe it's the 11" one but may be the 15" it's been a couple years I've owned it but it's smaller then the sfa. Came out of the box scary sharp like you'd expect, everything aligned very true which was nice since I've got 2 gransfors now that have had their cutting face slightly off from the handle. I do still prefer my sfa or scandi just has more to use. Have you checked out the "bushcraft" axe they make? I think it's 17 or 19 inch and serves it's purpose as a hatchet and fair swinging axe for only about 10-15 dollars more.

I haven't seen the bushcraft axe. What I own is the Wetterlings #106 (I really love this hatchet), the Bruks SFA, and a bunch of Fiskars. I've read some good stuff about the Hultafors (oldest maker in Sweden etc.) I just have to figure out if I should grab the 11\4 lb. or the heavier 13\4 lb. It's hard to figure out without handling them. Maybe I'll go on Bushcraft UK and ask the Europeans. Those axes are more common over there I believe.
