Which do you prefer as your neck knife: Skel Key or AS?

I was thinking of picking one of them up, but can't decide!! What's new in the world of Busses?

After having a chance to handle the SK at Blade I would choose the SK.

However, having said that I wear and use the AS all the time and it has always performed admirably.

The SK is just a little lighter.

Let us know what you decide.
:D:D

chiseen-

You can get the AS right now directly from Busse:cool: or (if your quick):D on the For Sale/Trade pages here on BladeForums.

The Skeleton Key is keeping a low profile somewhere at the shop. ;) Jerry has not released it as of 8.14.02, but we're all hoping it makes it's official appearance soon.:)

IMHO, order the AS a.s.a.p., and while your on the phone w/ the Shop get you name on the waiting list for the SK. Then if you decide that you don't want to keep one or the other, you can list it For Trade on BF (or For Sale on KF) and easily get what you paid for it.

Hope that helps. :)

P.S. I bet you end up keeping both of them!:D :D

RVO3VOM, point taken!! :)

The AS looks like it can handle more duties, not that the SK is a slouch. I see the SK as more of a slicer, the AS can maybe pry if necessary.

Hmm, AS is .25" right? Maybe too thick for a neck knife?

Have to echo those who praise the AS. The SK is likely going to be a fine knife and those I handled at Blade were great, but it's size is much like a folder I would be carrying anyway. Speaking of folders ...

Go ahead and get the AS now and wait for the SKs to become available later:D

(you know you'll end up with them both sooner or later:p)

Yeah, I'll probably end up with both, being the INFIholic I am... ;)

I'll give the AS a try then...
