which is better

i was wondering which was better a nmfbm or a fbm for chopping and batoning etc.

NMFBM will be longer so can baton through thicker piece of wood. Its also longer, and convex which will carry more weight forward which lends itself to better chopping. That being said the FBM comes in flat, CBTs and saber grinds of different thickness so depedning on the variation you can find the one that fits you as far a weight and feel. TO each their own....some cant swing nmfbm all day and so the better chopper might be the lightest of class -BWM, or somewhere in between.

Overall simplest answer is NMFBM

also a small difference but something that tips in the favor of the NMFBM is that the NM treatment on the back of the blade tends to beat up the piece of wood you're using as your baton a little less.

I'm @5' 11" and @230. However, I've got fairly weak arms. To me the FFBM was bit heavy to swing. I like the NMFBM between the two.

Also my opinion is the weight , lenght, and handling important point . From all i have used FFBM, NMFBM, CG FBM CBT. And FSH CG .25. cg FBM is my Favorite. Faster is my Cg FSH .25. i love both. I just wish nm FSH CG have the thickness 0.25 or less.
CGFBM CBT is allround talent. Is the best and good looking knife i have.

Neither!!

CGFBM!!!! :p:D
