Which is Spyderco's longest folding knife ever produced?

Szabo is longer than the Szabofly by 11mm and the Military by 21mm

edit: Random is probably right; the Catcherman beats the Szabo by 3mm.

Thanks for the replies. The longest overall fixed blade I assume would be... the Whale Rescue Blade. :D

I believe overall fixed blade would probably go to the Forester. I believe it's 15.5" overall? I have a Forager, very nice, about 14" overall.

The SpyderSaw is the longest folder, I think although technically it isn't a knife per se, it is a saw.

Really depends on how you define "longest folder". As GIRLYmann noted, the Probe had the longest OAL, but some would not consider it a folder since it's not something one would carry in their pocket (although it does add a whole 'nother meaning to the term "folding prybar"). :D As Jay_Ev noted, the Spydersaw had the longest blade, but most would not consider it a knife. So, the longest in terms of OAL that someone might EDC as a folder would be, as kreole noted, the Catcherman. Pay your money, take your choice.

A lot of people would consider the Catcherman more of a specialty type knife and not in the general folder category>> that's kind of how I look at it. Because I've never carried the Catcherman as a general use folder and I don't think that many people have either. So therefore I would say it's either the Szabo model, The Police or possibly the original C-54 Calypso all seemed to have a really lengthy blade.

This really makes me want to beat the drum for the release of the Bison model which had the longest blade of any Spyder I ever saw including the Catcherman. It's really an outdoor type blade but a darn big one at that. I really loved the prototype when I got to see it.

Not if you count the handle of the Whale Rescue Blade. It's like the length of a broom handle. :-)

A couple pics of the lengthy Catcherman, vintage, for your amusement. Just short of 10.5 inches overall open.

I carried one quite a bit one summer when I was fishing with my brother-in-law. It makes a dandy EDC clipped in your back pocket. Granted, you wouldn't want to do a lot of whittling or batoning logs - but the thing is sharp as the dickens and the blade is so thin it is a maniacal slicer... Specialized? Yes. A useful EDC? You betcha.
