I have a 0550, and a 0200. Both aquired in the last month. I love both of these knives, and will most likely buy backups.

This begs the question to me, just since I am a guy that likes to know such info, which do you guys think is tougher, or more robust?
They are 2 very different actions, and lock systems, with very little in common. But which in the end, would be "tougher"?

If it's tear up $400 bucks worth the blades? Im out! LOL

To be honest, lock strength is a bit overrated. Knife cuts one way, and it's actually the blade stop that takes force than the lock up. I've never had a lock up fail on me on any design (liner lock, lock back, tri-ad, axis, frame lock, etc). Actually, to even take that further, neither have friction folders nor slip joints.

The only time a lock up could collapse is when the blade sticks/binds to a material and as you're pulling away, the lock up slips. I personally don't chop with knives unless I'm using a fixed blade.

If you want to buy backups, get more 0550s because they are under review and might be discontinued in 2014.
