At my job I do a lot of slicing fruits and veggies and I was wondering which if these is a better slicer? And which is the better knife

Neither one IMO.

THE ZT452cf has a better slicing blade.

Neither one. Try a Spyderco Endura or Military or Paramilitary or Caly 3.5. This are great slicers for that kind of work. I have the Endura and it is a fantastic slicer. I had the PM but gave it to a friend. Great slicer. The Military and Caly 3.5 are awesome slicers if you want to pony up the money.

I would guess the Lionsteel just based on the height of the grind, but I doubt either will be a spectacular slicer. If you like heavy, slicey knives check out the Manix 2 XL. Very broad blade with 1/8" thick stock and an FFG makes for a pretty wicked slicer.

Is the stock thickness the same? If it is, I would actually expect the 0560 to cut better all other things being equal. Higher grind should give it better geometry.

Neither are built for fruit slicing. Sounds like you already have a great slicing blade. Some would even say the Military is too thick. Someone will eventually recommend an opinel so I might as well. Blade thickness has the most to do with slicing and then grind (FFG).

You need to consider the AG Russell cooks knife. It's a lock back folder with belt clip. I will be writing a review of this knife soon. It's my #1 kitchen knife and goes with me in my RV.

I currently use a titanium military and am looking to switch it up a bit

Whichever you get won't slice as well as that Military. I'd go for something with a hollow grind, but between those two I'd expect the Lionsteel to out cut the ZT based on the higher grind.

Anyone have any experience with the spyderco K2? Ido a lot of slicing veggies and fruits, but in still on a farm. I stuff need some strength. Any suggestions?

I owned a couple SR-1's and neither of them could slice to save their lives.

If you need a good slicer, skip the Lionsteel.

Agree. Had a SR1 and got rid of it quick. Real thick behind edge. Fine enough knife but slicer it is not. Out of the two would get the 0560.

Want a super slicer get a Cold Steel Hold Out. Sliciest knife I have and solid as a rock. I use my Hold Out 1 with a 5-6" blade for food prep all the time. One of my favorite knife designs.

Holy $#^&. Thank You for bringing this to my attention.:D Im going to be getting one. That green/black looks great and have yet to get a CS with XHP. I have 5 other HO II's. That green is a nice color change to the constant black. Probably wouldnt use a coated blade to much for food prep cause it might come off in your food, but could do a blade swap with a satin one and would be good to go. I dont know if CS has improved their coating but the old models coating would come off very easily. Either way im getting one of these. Thanks.

The DLC shouldn't come off in food and it's pretty harmless if it does. Might taste bad, though. ;)

You need a small fixed blade. Utility type blade. It'll be stronger than dainty slicey folders but a much better slicer than either of the knives you posted.

And for the price of either of those you can go custom...

Currently carrying both at work today and I'll say pass on them and go with a Manix 2XL. Not saying they are bad blades, I obviously own them both, just not good for what your talking about.
