Kershaw/Onion Speedsafe knives like the Boa, Avalanche, Scallion and Chive, Whirlwind and Blackout.

Timberline/Vallotton Discovery.

Meyerco Strut-n-cut, Rascal, Big Rascal and Stingray.

Which one is your favourite and why?

So far my favorite is the Kershaw Random Task. With just a little adjustment and hand-finishing, this knife seems like a custom. Now if Kershaw would just send it back to me :(

The other Kershaws seems nice also, but aren't as attractive to me. I did try the Chive the other day, and it didn't seem to open smoothly (may not have been adjusted well).

The Timberline knives simply do not seem quite as "special" - nor as high-quality. I'm sure they are fine knives, but the design just doesn't grab me like the Kershaw's do.

Never tried Meyerco.

I really enjoy the chive. It's one quick opening little bugger, mine came razor sharp, I like the blade shape, it's a frame lock, and it looks pretty classy. Plus, for the price, it's really hard to beat!

I have a Blackout that I enjoy playing with, but have never carried. I think the design of the handle is about as nice as they come. My Chive on the other hand I carry every day, what a cool little knife.

This was easy:
Chive.

Because it's the only "assisted opener" I have ;)

I like it, it is thin, (scary) sharp, light and small enough to keep in pocket.

What more: blade length under 2" makes it "street legal" here in Finland.

A while ago Cumberlandknives sold Random Tasks under 50USD (!). I couldn't believe my eyes, so I wrote to John and asked if the price is right. John replied he'd got "a special deal".
However, I didn't order one right then - and after a couple of days they were sold out - no wonder :(
I've been blaming myself since then...

The Boa is great! Excellent steel, great action, and a very comfortable handle make this one a winner to me..

The chive also fits well in the collar of your shirt or in your lapel. if you don't like digging arround in your pocket while your setting down.I find it much easier to access this way.Fits nicely in the waist band of your jogging shorts and you don't have to worry about um hanging arround your ankles half way round the block either.:D

Thanks for the support everyone !!!

Ken's right about the jogging shorts. I bought a scallion specifically to wear when i'm running. I loved the way the random task looked the best and it was a super useful shape but I gotta go with the Boa on this one. it is Awesome. just a supurb blade shape and mad cutting power plus it BIG.

Random Task. Wonderful knife thet looks good! Handle is comfortable and just long enough. Balde is of 440V and style suits to my needs.

Mini Task would be my gentleman carry but there is a problem with liner lock so I don't use it. I should sent it to Kershaw but the bother to sent it to USA and fill up proforma bills etc to avoid paying customs when it comes back from Kershaw has delayed my actions to correct the situation.

Up until yesterday my answer would have been the Random Task, but after handling the Chive, man this knife ROCKS! Ken, I am very impressed! What are the chances of Kershaw making a Chive with a wharncliffe blade?? It would even replace my William Henry CF Spearpoint.
