Which Junkyard Dogs are frame locks?

I've been considering a JD II (as well as a few other knives) as a Christmas present for myself, but have no place close where I could examine one. Which versions are frame locks and which are liner locks and how does a JDII compare to say a ZT300?

Thanks

The G10 and Composite JYD2 are both liner locks, but the liner is very thick on them. If you want a Framelock JYD2 I believe the only option would be the 1725SG2 which has a titanium framelock and an SG2 blade, or a Tim Gaylean Pro Series. The plain-jane stainless handled JYD 1 is a framelock, and can be found online for under $35, but it is smaller. I would most closely compare the JYD2 to the ZT0200 because it is a liner lock and non-assisted, as opposed to the 0300 which is an assisted titanium framelock.

Thanks for the information. I should have known it was closer to the ZT200.

That 1725sg2 sounds good and I think Kershawguy had some blems listed on the forum. May be the route I go.

I have the G10 model (liner lock) it is solid and sharp! Iwas going to get a zt350 but saved a bit of cash and love what I got

Definitely should go that route. You can get in touch with Brad Southard and he can add IKBS to the pivot for under $50.

i recently got the sg2 jyd blem, what a great knife. the blade sliced newspaper like a strait razor right out of the box.i highly recommend this one.....
