Which KAI knives do you want to purchase this year?

Well, which KAI knives do you want to add to your collection this year?


I have more than a few, though I'm not sure I'll be able to get my hands on them. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the 2013 Kershaw lineup just yet. I seem to like the 2011 and 2012 models a bit more and am trying to get my hands on the ones I want. Other than a couple of ZT's that I feel pressured to buy, I feel more pressured to get the discontinued knives.

Really excited to see what you'd like to add to your collection!




Of Course I want an 0888 - I dunno if I missed pre-ordering or not, though. I just got back in to knives around the begining of the year.

I'd also really like a 0770 - I'm not heart broken that I missed the 0777 - I tend to use my knives and could never forgive myself for beating up an 0777. They're just too beautiful :)

Ahh, the Daniel Defense shallot. I want one of these really bad. Chances I'll find one? Maybe. Chances I'll find a 10.5" Daniel Defense SBR upper to go along with the knife? Even more slim lol!

Ahh, ye ole Rake - I've almost bought this knife several times now. Another forum buddy of mine who buys 2nds at the KAI sale said he really liked this last year. I havent held one, but I've almost raked one in to my bag several times now. I'll prolly pull the trigger next time they go one sale.

Pretty much all the new models... both Kershaw and ZT. The 0566 is at the top of the list, followed by the two Kershaw Rexfords (Injection 3 & 3.5).
 
And I spoke too soon about the Kershaw line - I must have the Camp 18 or one of the Kershaw machetes

Man what a beaut@!

Even more beautiful - The price! It seems like a lot of this years releases are price-point driven. Everything seems to be really affordable. I'm a real sucker for the Hinderer based knives. The 0550 was my pride and joy (until I lost it). I'm gonna have to buy another one before I can't get one anymore :(

0566 is at the top of my list as well. It looks to be the perfect edc...if there aren't any problems with her.

I was late to the ZT party, but playing catch-up has been fun.
 
I hope to find a Damascus Skyline, but I also want to get the shuffle or a 550 :)
 
I don't have the "WOW!!! I need that knife now!!" thing going right now, but it would be nice to pick up my first ZT this year. I'll probably get a 0350 or a 0200. I also wouldn't mind getting a couple LE Kershaws and picking up a Knockout.
 
Only thing I have on pre-order is a 0801. Im hoping for a Brown S30V Blur if I can find one. Probably a 0566 if I catch a deal.

0560cfcb. Camp 18. That lil guy with the bottle opener on the back, the name escapes me at the moment.

But I'll pretty much sell a kidney for a 0560cfcb.

Oh goody, I'd vote you up if this site had that! Awesome man, I'm ordering an 0301 here this week. The DD Shallot will be a great accessory knife to go along with it. Thank you so very much man, I did not know that. A buddy of mine from another forum actually took the picture I used for the DD Shallot above. He goes to the sale every year and gets stuff for people / to make some x-mas money.

Too bad Kershawguy didnt have a Daniel Defense 10.3" SBR Upper to go along with the knife :)



@Knotty - Aww man, you don't have any ZT's? Dude, right now that 0121 is a STEAL. Also man. the 0550 is a really fine blade for the price. Not as expensive as the other Hinderer's, but just as nice. Hope you get your first one this year bud.


Right now all I have pre-ordered is the 0360.Skd. I think I'm going to go on a pre-order binge this weekend. I must have a 0770 - I prolly better get that thing on pre-order. I really like the curvature in it. There are still a couple of older Kershaw's I need to find as well.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I got out of guns / knives for many a year. Gas prices have grounded me the past few years so I've gotten back in to hobbies that I can have fun with around the house.
 
Besides outstanding pre-orders, I'd like to score a Mini Task plain edge and 2420 plain edge. DAM Zing too if I could but who knows. Oh, and a Shun Higo steak knife. I know if I don't hit post soon, I'll think of a few more, but I might time out waiting lol.
 
ZT 566 & Kershaw Camp 10 for sure. Working on building a rifle, so won't have that much leftover for knives. Might get one of those Thermites.
