I've been looking through kami mark threads but I can't find this one. It looks more or less like two "P" connected by an underscore "_". Aka = P_p. It's on a WWII. Mac

Doesnt describe any mark i'm familiar with. If you provide a pic of the mark it would be far easier to find out who the kami is.

I'm working on the handle, but here's a shot of the mark.

Thank you! Not easy to keep track of all the kami marks :D

What, if any, characteristics is Tirtha's khukuris generally known for?

I have plenty of Khuks from Thirta, handle and details is often lacking a bit, but the quality of his steelwork is stable at a very high level, I have never chipped or bended any of them even after very hard use, and still they can take a superb edge. Looks like he has mastered the tempering technique better then most.
At least that is my experience.
So if it is your's, congratulations ;)

Your description is spot on for this WWII. The primary bevel is near perfect on both sides, hard to get it any better. Handle fit was good and the wood great. Finish not so. A little sandpaper-work and oil solves that.

Gah!! We're been invaded by Vikings! It's the Battle of Clontarf all over again!!

;)

Who uses the little mark that looks like two little mountains, one a little in front of the other? That is the one on my BAS.

Thanks Karda. That's it. My hat is off to Mr. Rajkumar. I am very very please with my BAS. I will bookmark the link with the Kami marks. Thanks.
