I ordered a Leek online for my sister who is a wrangler at a horse ranch. She got the knife today and said it was really small. The Leek is replacing her mini Griptilian she lost, and it should be bigger than it. She sent me a pic of the knife, which one is it?

Yeah It's a chive or scallion, if you can get a shot of it open we could probably tell you which one it is.

Yup, that is what thought, either a Chive or Scallion. I asked her to get the number off the side of the blade, but she hasn't replied yet.
She has fairly small hands, probably a glove size small. I don't think I can get anymore pics from her, I think she only gets service when she goes into town. She said it was smaller than her mini Griptilian.

In any case, it is definetly not a Leek, so if that's what you ordered they screwed up.

Chive closed is 2-7/8 inches the scallion closed is 3-1/2, but just by looking at how close the two frame screws are I'm going with chive.

If you do get the numbers off the blade then 1600 is a chive and 1620 is a scallion.

Oh, this makes me mad! She probably threw away the box and she can't ship out packages from where she is. I'm going to have a heck of a time getting a refund/return on this one.

One solid argument on your side, if you have to prove it is not a leek, is that the leek has 3 frame screws, obviously this on only has two. Also who did you order from? You may get lucky and they may be a member on here.

I can guarantee it's a Pink Chive.
They don't make one in Red, so it is Pink.
Also the pivot and handle screws on a Chive are all the same size. ;)
While the Scallion's 6-32 screw has a T8 Torx head.

I concur with 2brothers (Mike). I think the Scallion has a blade lock like the Leek to protect from the AO accidentally opening in your pocket.
