If you love collecting I'd recommend the BRN 1760. Those are limited. The BLK 1670's aren't, they will be around FOREVER!!
And plus, they just look FREAKING SWEEEET!!!

If you're on a budget, I'd buy a 1670 tactical blur from kershawguy.com He is a mainstay here, and sells seconds fro $29 shipped. Never been disappointed by him yet.

I'd get the Brown Skyline. I've been EDC'ing one for about a month and a half and it's been doing fantastic. Plus, they're limited edition and the Black Blur isn't.

What Chester said, now as far as models go... I will always choose a skyline for an edc under 50 dollars. It is my favorite budget knife and I carried one for a long time. I liked it so much that I decided to try and collect all variations of it. I have spent hundreds of dollars in that pursuit and have almost accomplished my goal. In short, you will never go wrong with a skyline.

1760BRNCKT definitely.

I love the brown/black contrast compared to the typical knife look of a satin blade and a black handle. It's more militaristic looking.

Having felt the grinds on both the standard Blur and the Skyline, they both will cut about the same. Their edges behind the bevel are very thin. The Blur will be a bit more robust, and give you smoother action as is or if you remove the torsion bar. The blade shape is also quite different.

Between the two, I'd take the Skyline in this case. It's smaller, lighter, and slimmer in the pocket for what you're getting in terms of cutting performance. If you had the option of one of the flat ground Blurs (The CF154 or S30V models) I'd go with that. The Skyline's a great pocket knife, it really is.

I really love the blur, but wouldn't mind something a little slimmer and a manual for the pocket. I don't have a skyline so I can't compare, but I have never heard a bad thing about them as an EDC blade.

Truth is, I don't really care for the looks of the knife but have been considering purchasing one anyways because everyone seems to really love them. I was about to pull the trigger on the brown one when Kershawguy announced his incoming damascus knives. I am really hoping I can afford a damascus skyline so I can get a damascus knife and a skyline in one package.

In short, I don't think you will be disappointed either way but whatever you buy, buy it from Kershawguy.

Thanks for the feedback i just bought the 1760brn and zt 0350ts from the kershawguy.....they will be my 22nd and 23rd kershaw knives the collection is growing faster than i thought!!!! Ive heard about these damascus blades kershawguy is getting but dont know much about them??? is it just a better looking blade or is the metal that much better???? they look to nice to use!!!!

If you want something that practically unnoticeable in your pocket, the Skyline is a great choice. It's thin, lightweight, and still features a 3.25" blade. The high hollow grind makes for an excellent slicer, and flipping the knife open and closed can be terribly addictive. The Skyline really is well suited to EDC.

That said, the Blur is also a great knife. It is bigger, heavier, and more noticeable in your pocket than the Skyline. It is a pretty amazing-handling knife though, and it has a more robust blade (high flat grind, wider blade, thicker blade stock). The slight recurve does give you a little extra cutting power as well, although it can make sharpening a bit trickier.

What blur is that?

Honestly you can't go wrong with a kershaw. Pick what ever appeals to your cutting needs now. when your needs change buy another. That is the beauty of kershaws they are affordable and so many great designs to choose from. I personally won't leave home without one of my g10 leeks. It's s30v steel is just the top of tops.

Skyline. Been carrying the brown with BFC blade for awhile. The Blur would be a great choice too.

That Blue/Black Skyline looks killer!!!

Same here.

Between the two I'd probably carry a skyline over a blur. Lighter, sleeker, just as tough.

What blur is that?

1670RD - Red Blur - Red anodized aluminum handles, rubber Trac-tec inserts, Sandvik 14C28N blade. This may be an older one, as it has a high flat grind. I think I saw some post here recently that said the new/recent Sandvik steel Blurs were hollow-ground. I won that one in a giveaway here a while back.

Ah oh. The flat grind was throwing me off. I have the OD blur and its hollow ground.
