Which khukuri styles would you say are "must-haves'?

My opinion would be the 18 inch Ang Khola, 18 inch villager Bhudhuni, and a 18 inch Sisneyri Sirupati.

I qualify my statement in that all three are great users and beautiful to the eye as well.

I would certainly think that one of military khukuris would qualify as a must have.

The NY Custom Knife Show is today, Harry. Being just an oversized little kid, I woke up a bit over an hour ago & couldn't get back to sleep.

It seems to me that the Gelbu Special and the Uncle Bill Espciale, due to their uniqeness and quality would be "must haves".

It would be even better if for every khukuri that you bought for yourself; that you would also get one for the said wife/girlfriend so you could "take care" of them for her.

PS -- And since you have one of each model that of course means that you would have a "balance" model. If you don't have one of each a "balance" model is also a definite _Must Have_!!!

I own eight HI khuks, ranging from a crude but thoroughly serviceable villager 18" AK to a 'museum-grade' HI "machaera".

They're all superb tools and all of them will get the job done. However; ever since I got the 25" Kobra, I haven't *wanted* to use anything else. Not only can the Kobra do anything & everything; it's also just too much fun...
