O.K. guys , our number one uncle has agreed on a D-guarded khuk . We just have to decide on which model . I say either an Uncle Bill Especiale or Gelbu Special No. 1 .

I hope that I have started something .
I realy want a D-gaurded 20 inch Khuk to call my very own . SO who else is in , come on guys you know you want it !!!

Edd,
How about a modified Sirupati blade? With a spine thickness of about 3/8-inch but with a slightly wider belly of about 2-1/2 to 3 inches width. With the traditional curvature of the sirupati style being slightly straightened, I think that this knife would make an interesting "fighter", yet still possess some degree of "utility"

Somewhere in the archives, I believe there is a photograph with a blade referred to as a "Falcata". Should you and Uncle Bill come
up with something somewhat resembling the falcata, I would definitely be interested in making an order. Thanks for putting up with my rambling.....

The Kobra sounds nice , but I would still prefer either the especiale or the gelbu . In the long run I'll go with whatever FOUR other people agree on . Come on people who wants a unique battle/utility blade ?

I guess I missed the mark , but almost the weekend and more people might have a chance to chime in , if not it was only an idea .

Edd, you are going to have to finalize a design and then dig up four takers. You may as well stick up a thread on what you really want and see if you can't find four more musketeers or like swordsmen who are willing to join you in the venture.

O.K people , Lets get just one more person to agree with either a gelbu or especiale with a western style brass D-gaurded handle . This will be a true shortsword . At least 20 inches , maybe 25 .

I will try to make a wood model and send it to you , that may help. Ot will be at least a month . Maybe then some one will be interested , there is nothing like seeing it in 3-D .

If you can make something similiar to the older models I would probably pick one up. I like the knife that Rusty-I think-posted. I am not sure how you are going to do this Edd, but I am interested.
Matthew
