Original cord wrap, or with micarta handles? I would take the micarta version, but since it has no skullcrusher end, I prefer the original. But that finger choil looks useful....

Of course, "Get both!" right? ;)

BTW, does anyone know how thick the micarta ones are?

The micarta ones are 3/16" stock with a nice taper. I would probably prefer them, especially with the SSN handles.

Of course, the cord-wrapped ones are going to be real collectors' items in the future, IMHO, so the choice is a tough one :)
 
I have been wanting handles on the KB for awhile now
so for me it's a no brainer I'll own both.
