which kind of finish do ya guys like on AS?

I noticed that there are two different finishes on the assault shaker (black coated and bead blasted?) . Which one do ya like better?
 
I have both of them & I favor the bead blast one but I heard Jerry hated to do them & there were only 5 made ? What I would like to see is one with the new white coating maybe an albino shaker?Are you listening Mr. Busse.
 
Dave, if that's true, I've cornered 20% of the market.

I prefer the bead blast. Looks nicer.
 
When I got one of the early batches, I tried to talk the shop into bead blasting one for me. At that time, they declined, although I still think I would like one! At the time, all of the ones available had been coated, and the idea of trying to blast out the inside of the handle holes wasn't seen as practical.

My vote is for bead blast, but I'm sure either one would be great (love mine).
 
The bead blasting in the holes is why I heard Jerry hates doing them oh & I also have 20% of the market thats 2 we need to only find the other three.

I am wishing that busse guys could make bead blasted finish on AS now, since it's going to be discontinued. I will definately go get one right now. By the way, do u guys know any shops here in Raleigh NC selling those nuked edges?
 
I have a coated one but the bead blasted version does look sweet:cool:
I would like to find one someday (yeah right!:rolleyes:.)

Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait and get a bead blasted BAg3 instead:D:D:D
 
Another concern just jump into my mind... won't bead blasted finish be some kind of rusty in wet weathers?
 
i have two of the blasted ones, and i only need one. both of mine came from papathud. so how many does that make?
 
I got mine from marklee here on the forums. Will that bring it down to 5 total or still 6.
 
I bought a bead blasted AS off of Papathud a couple months ago. That makes, what, seven or eight now. I think he had a couple more at the time, too.
 
Well, that is six right here, I know where at least one more is right
now so I don't know how many were made.
I know Jerry said bead blast is tough in the little holes and he wants to not make more:mad:
Bead Blasted Assault Shakers are going to be hard to find:(
