Just wondering. You know how there's companies that make knives that can be used in an office-environment. Which company seems to disregard that and just make it for the buyer?

Well.....I'm not sure about companies...but everytime i see a smatchet I get a cold...tingly feeling I can't get rid of for weeks.

I do not find any knives intimidating.

Try Bud K

The companies that make knives for an office environment DO make them just for the buyer. Just who do you think is buying them? Offices??

knives are not very intimidating in and of themselves, but for sheer aggressiveness the spyderco civilian is pretty wicked looking with its serrated edge and hook-like curves, as is any karambit/talon/hawkbill shaped blade.

The Spyderco "Civilian" comes to mind... I'd say folks could be intimidated by any full serrated Spydies... Or I guess ANY FS for that matter. Man it really gets my goat that people are afraid of inanimate objects... The THOUGHT POLICE are comin' in hot now that EVERYONE'S imagination is a result of Cinema and crap TV... Blood used to signify courage and strength and bring on adrenalin, now it brings thoughts of pain, loss of life, and fright... people are a product of fear.

I saw one years ago at Blade that Pat & Wes Crawford had , that was a glove , with 4 or 5 real blades on it. It was like freddie meets wolverine.

Somewhere I have a picture of me with it on ( thanks to the Crawfords for allowing me ).

I think that most modern companies.... kershaw, spyderco, benchmade make knives for everybody... Simple as that.. You name it... they seem to make it... For the desk jockey, construction worker, law/safety, avg joe... its there

I'll probably get the name wrong but I think the company Air Kat makes some nasty looking knives... don't know if they're good for anything... but they look sorta like something the predator would carry.

Are you talking fancy-looking or really substantial blades? If you want the latter, check out the Cold Steel Trailmaster or Recon Scout. Now those are serious blades.
