I recall him discussing how he increased the hardness of the edge of a recent knife, but can't find which one in the search. Was it the Shiva or an AD or Cultie? I've forgotten!

Thanks.

All of em? I just can't believe it was THAT long ago he talked about it. I guess I've had a busy mid-year.

so what is the normal hardenss for a busse? 59-60 hrc?

I saw a thread the other day where Ducci Tested a few. One was 59
something and the other two were 60

So I think 59-60 would be correct.

The sites, BCS and BC show

from the INFI page at Busse Combat
"
Although hardened INFI knives are 58-60 Rc we have yet been able to chip an edge. "

The BAD page at the BCS:
"
The BAD's are mission specific designed to be wicked slicers!
We have bumped the hardness on these to 60-62 rc for better wear resistance when cutting softer materials and in order to better support the extra fine point and edge.
"

and yes, Ducci's Rockwell testing put the steel at the high end of the range 59-60
