I will soon have these kmives

CRKT mo'skeeter part serrated
CRKT M16-14m Part serrated
CRKT Mt. Ranier Part serrated
CRKT Crawford/Kasper medium plain edge

Cold steel master hunter carbon V fixed blade

Now for the question,

When i am out and about working in the yard etc. which one of these knifes will be able to take the most abuse/use and still hold up to be a quality knife years down the road. Uses include cutting plastic, rope, small twigs off of trees, possible light digging in dirt, etc.
The reason i am asking is i want to select one of these to be my "beat around blade" for serious hard tasks that i won't feel to bad if something terrible happens to it. and also to find out which one would be most apt to holding up to the above type tasks.

I will probably pretty much baby the others.

One caveat, I probably won't be willing to carry the cold steel much as i am not a big fixed blade fan, i don't hunt and feel that it is to flashy and threateneing to carry around the house...

Thanks in advance foryour input.

No offense intended, but I consider ALL my CRKT knives to be "beaters". I'm not knocking CRKT either - their knives make excellent candidates for a beater-blade because of their relative inexpensive cost. I would not hesitate to use any of your CRKT choices for your intended applications. If they wear out/chip/break, etc. they are no big deal to replace. All should serve you well for a long time however. My personal choice would be (and is)the Crawford Kasper, for a hard-use beater.

Go on and beat the crap out of the Kasper. I think it is the strongest. If it isn't good enough for you then look at the CRKT Kasper Pro model.

You guys beat me to it! I just donated a Kasper/Crawford to our church's silent auction. It was purchased by an avid hunter, who claimed it would be a "user" under our winter hunting season. He liked the double locking system, called the LAWKS, as I remember.

I agree with these guys. The Kaspar is a great work horse. However, have you looked at some of the other Cold Steel lines such as the Voyagers? How about a mid-sized Spyderco, Vesuvius or Delica perhaps?
Thanks, good luck,
Matt
